Patrick Allentoft and Rune Bjødstrup spent years working side by side at one of Denmark's larger IT services companies. Between them they'd helped dozens of organisations navigate Microsoft migrations, cloud rollouts, and security reviews. And again and again, they'd seen the same blind spot: nobody was backing up the data inside those cloud platforms.
It wasn't that IT teams didn't care. It was that the shared-responsibility model — where Microsoft, Google and Salesforce protect the platform but not your data inside it — was never properly explained. Organisations assumed their SaaS provider handled it. They didn't.
In early 2025, Patrick and Rune decided to do something about it. They left their jobs, registered Conversus, and set out to build the cloud backup company they'd always wished existed: small, independent, and obsessed with being straight with clients. No upselling the wrong product. No confusing contracts. Just honest advice, the right solution, and people who actually pick up the phone.
Today Conversus operates as a certified reseller for Keepit, IBM and Arrow ECS — three of the most trusted names in cloud-to-cloud backup — and holds Microsoft CSP status. We're based in Denmark, serve clients across the Nordic region, and we're just getting started.
